6\u00a0<\/sup>But I protested, \u201cOh no, Lord, God<\/span>! Look, I don\u2019t know how to speak since I am only a youth.\u201d<\/span>
\n7\u00a0<\/sup>Then the Lord<\/span> said to me:
\n<\/span>Do not say, \u201cI am only a youth,\u201d
\nfor you will go to everyone I send you to
\nand speak whatever I tell you.
\n8\u00a0<\/sup>Do not be afraid of anyone,
\nfor I will be with you to deliver you.
\nThis is the Lord<\/span>\u2019s declaration.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A sad state of affairs today is the “youth worship” that is so prevalent. If we don’t have\u00a0hard bodies<\/em> under tight, stylish clothes we don’t look good. Where exercise cannot get the job done we get medical procedures to enhance or improve the image of our bodies. Should a line, wrinkle, or gray hair appear then creams, gels, and the like must be applied to eradicate it.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah did not have this problem. He thought of youth as weakness. His experience was much less than those he knew whose hair was gray or white, whose beards were long, and whose bodies were older.<\/p>\n

Neither youth nor age is the answer to power or wisdom or greatness. The one relevant factor is whether or not God is\u00a0with you<\/em>. Fear flees away before the Lord’s declaration. God tells us that our part is not a matter of education, age, social status, wealth, or any other measure. God tells us that our part is go where He sends us and speak what He tells us.<\/p>\n

O LORD God Almighty, that we might yield our hearts, desires and opinions over to You, remain in your Word and in prayer, and thus know your desire for us that is to Your glory, our blessing, and the good of many.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
